Requirements
  • Bachelor's Science degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) discipline with 8+ years of engineering experience OR
  • Master's Science degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) discipline with 6+ years of engineering experience
  • Active DoD Top Secret and/or SCI clearance required.
  • Prior experience as a manager or a team lead.
Responsibilities
  • perform the Communications Systems and Mission Payload Section Manager role
  • responsible for both section management (15 - 20% of time) and existing program responsibilities (80% or more of time)
  • perform resource planning and staffing
  • employee engagement, staff development, including skills training and career support
  • performance management, including employee goal setting, quarterly reviews, and issues resolution
  • responsible for the deployment, measurement, and improvement of tailored, lean SE processes and procedures
  • supporting product cost reduction strategies
  • support and implement activities supporting departmental initiatives
  • reporting directly to a Communications Systems & Mission Payload Department Manager
  • Sections will have up to 15 people.
