In Person
Wisconsin Early Autism Project provides early intensive behavioral intervention for young children with autism. It delivers one-on-one therapy, often in the child’s home, to kids 18 months to school age, using a research-backed curriculum and positive reinforcement to teach skills. The program targets basic learning areas first—attention, listening, play, imitation, and early communication—and gradually adds more skills as children progress. The approach centers on building strong relationships with the child and tailoring sessions to each child’s strengths to keep learning engaging. What sets WEAP apart is its large network of locations across Wisconsin and beyond, its home-based delivery model, and its use of a proven curriculum to drive measurable progress rather than generic instruction. The goal is to help children with autism learn new skills quickly enough to catch up with peers and gain greater independence.
