The Role
The key focus of the Financial Analyst will be preparing, analysing and maintaining financial reports to support our business with data-backed insights and performance analysis. In this role you’ll work closely with operations team to track costs, optimise processes and contribute to efficient month-end reporting. The successful candidate will be a detail-oriented professional with strong analytical skills, financial modelling experience, and a sharp business sense.
Responsibilities
Maintaining and refreshing internal reporting on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
Preparation of key financial information for the preparation of the financial result at the end of each month, including full FTE reporting.
Analytics and insights into the month end result as part of the month end preparation and review process.
Preparation with the Senior Business Analyst of the monthly forecasts and the annual financial plan.
Numerous ad-hoc financial performance and analytical queries from key stakeholder.
Problem solving and ownership in partnership with key stakeholders of various initiatives to drive financial and non-financial performance.
Maintain financial and non- financial metrics in Oracle
Maintain SOX Compliance
Build strong business partnering relationships with key operational business roles
Actively seek opportunities for continuous improvement in reporting and analysis
Skills & Experience
Tertiary qualification in Business, Mathematics, Finance, Accounting or similar
Can present analytical findings to a financial and non-financial stakeholders
Can problem solve solutions with tight deadlines.
Can manage, prioritise and communicate workload.
Ability to identify trends and outliers.
Ability to build strong relationships with financial and non-financial business partners
Advanced excel skills including: Troubleshoot data errors, pivot tables, formula driven functions, Power Query, create charts.
Tableau experience: Creating and managing relationships between tables
PowerBI skills: Create/manage relationships between tables, create calculated measures, update data sources, update visual names, identify and correct causes of data errors.
Experience with Hyperion, including SSMS experience, joining tables and create limits for data queries.
