- Previous medical office experience is not required.
- Strong customer service skills, attention to detail, time management, and organizational ability are required.
- Greet patients in a friendly and timely manner.
- Ensure that patients complete necessary forms required for the electronic health record and billing office.
- Maintain patient demographic and insurance information, verify insurance eligibility, and collect co-pays.
- Ensure good patient flow through the practice by timely processing of patients as they arrive at the front office.
- Answer patient inquiries regarding patient registration information or billing questions.
- Refer patient inquiries regarding medical care or treatment to a medical assistant or physician.
- Schedule patients with the appropriate physician.
- Scan documents into the electronic health record.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
