Tempus is seeking a highly qualified undergraduate Generative AI Summer Analyst to work with us for the summer of 2025. We are looking for people who can change the world.

As a Summer Intern at Tempus, you will:

• Apply skills and knowledge learned in the classroom to on-the-job experiences
• Work on comprehensive, value-added project(s) that help enhance the fields of science and technology 
• Collaborate with teams/colleagues in a fast-paced environment 
• Gain professional development & build relationships with peers from across the country 

Anticipated Summer Project(s):

• Project #1: Supporting White-Glove Agent Development
• Collaborate with business units and leaders to develop custom AI Agents.
• Iterate and improve Agents based on feedback and performance metrics
• Facilitate cross-functional communication and collaboration for successful Agent development.
• Provide best practices & technical support to external partners in building and deploying AI Agents.

• Project #2: Gen AI Commercial Go-To-Market (GTM) Efforts
• Conduct market research to identify potential partners and customers.
• Develop and refine GTM strategies for Tempus OS, Agent Builder, and Tempus One.
• Engage with partners and customers, presenting and demonstrating Tempus AI’s solutions.
• Support integration of Gen AI solutions within EHRs and other healthcare systems.
• Project #3: Gen AI Evangelism and Thought Leadership
• Create and publish engaging content (blogs, whitepapers, case studies) on AI in precision medicine.
• Develop and execute social media campaigns to promote Tempus AI’s innovations.
• Collaborate with the marketing team on strategies to enhance brand recognition and Gen AI adoption.

Qualifications:

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences, Biotechnology, or a related field
• Strong interest in pursuing an MD/PhD program with a focus on leveraging technology and data science in healthcare.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools such as R, Python, and Excel.
• Collaboration: Working effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
• Problem-Solving: Identifying issues and developing solutions to improve AI Agents.
• Adaptability: Flexibility in adjusting to new information, changing conditions, or unexpected obstacles.
• Communication: Clearly conveying ideas and information to team members and stakeholders.
• Time Management: Balancing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines effectively.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in a variety of settings and media.
• Strong computer skills, including advanced knowledge of Google Suite and Gmail, preferred.
• A self-starter with the ability to work independently as well as in collaboration with others in a fast-paced environment is critical. Be ready to fly the plane as you’re still building it!

Additional Details:

• You will spend 8 or 10 weeks working in our Chicago office. The internship will be a hybrid, onsite 3 days/week with the option to work remotely the remaining days.
• The program will start in early June and run through August.
• A competitive hourly wage will be provided for the summer employment and a relocation bonus to help offset some of the relocation costs and resources to help you find housing.
