Network Engineer

Job Description:

Johnson Brothers has an opportunity to join the infrastructure network team as a Network Engineer - Network & Collaboration Team.  Network & Collaboration is responsible for all aspects of networking, communications, and collaboration across 30+ US based locations for the 4th largest liquor distributor in the country.  Our network is comprised of mission critical services requiring stability, reliability, and performance optimization.

The successful candidate will have a strong desire to help identify, plan and implement improvements in Johnson Brothers network infrastructure. They will also take part in the day-to-day operations of the network team, including but not limited to handling service tickets, working with venders, and performing network maintenance. Our network team is focused on building the infrastructure needed to ensure reliable access across all methods to connect to our network resources.  Our team desires to anticipate our users’ needs and deliver solutions that exceed their expectations. 

Minimum Qualifications:

• Extensive knowledge of networking concepts in an enterprise network.
• Networking education, vendor certification (CCNA), or equivalent work experience.
• Ability to work independently and with a team
• Advanced network troubleshooting skills
• 5+ years of networking experience

Additional Desirable Qualifications:

• Experience implementing and troubleshooting of SDWAN networks.
• Advanced wireless knowledge including implementation and troubleshooting.
• Palo Alto firewall experience

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Be a member of a high performing team of network engineers responsible for:
  • Data Center Networking
  • Firewalls and Authentication Infrastructure
  • SD-WAN/LAN/Wi-Fi across our branches nationwide
  • Collaboration tool solutions and support including cloud driven phone system, customer service contact center tools and services, video meeting and collaboration tools, and all meeting room technologies.
• Implementing projects and troubleshooting on the front lines with other network engineers.
• Communicate to and engage with internal business partners and key stakeholders.
• Monitor and maintain the health of network infrastructure.
• Plan and implement network changes, communicate impact of changes to the business.
• Work trouble tickets

Location:

• St Paul, MN or Raleigh, NC
• Hybrid working with on-site presence as needed
• Some travel required

The expected pay range for this role is $64,902 - $107,961. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role. Actual placement within range will be contingent upon several factors, including but not limited to the candidate's qualifications, education, experience, internal equity, union status (where applicable) and alignment with market data.
