ResponsibilitiesThe Administrative Residency Program at SCA Health is a unique opportunity for individuals to learn about the ASC (ambulatory surgery center) and specialty care environments, while working with a team that is highly focused on providing high-quality patient care at a lower cost. The program is a full-time, paid, immersive one-year opportunity. Residents will be exposed to corporate-level and facility-level initiatives, gain exposure to health-system and practice partnerships, and collaborate with support services within SCA Health.
This upcoming 2027-2028 cohort will mark the 10th year of the program.
Accountabilities/Responsibilities
- Gain exposure to departmental operations which may include projects and leadership involvement
- Receive support and development from experienced executive leaders and preceptors through various rotations and experiences
- Complete up to three 2-3 month enterprise rotations over the course of their residency
- Learn, contribute, and lead within their chosen residency track
- Seek project work while delegating project opportunity based on the strengths and interest of the resident and enterprise needs
- Attend leadership meetings and various conferences
- Maintain daily operations at an ASC facility or local office
- Exposure to corporate-level and facility-level initiatives
- Gain knowledge of health-system partnerships, health-plan partnerships, and support services within SCA Health
- Obtain broad knowledge of health care strategies, business management and administration, organizational development, innovation, and value-based leadership
QualificationsQualifications
- Graduate of a CAHME or AACSB accredited MHA or MHSA program required.
- Possess a comprehensive knowledge of healthcare business management and operations, including an understanding of clinical practice management and a foundation for healthcare finances
- Possess drive, ambition, and eagerness to learn
- Willing to relocate
- Travel required – Up to 25%
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Demonstrates strong communication skills
- Ability to balance multiple tasks
