- 5 to 7 years of experience with 3+ years in corporate development and strategy, mergers and acquisitions, investment banking or management consulting
- Experience in creating, identifying, evaluating, and building differentiated relationships with strategic partners
- Self-starter able to seek new partnerships or projects, and help lead a project from start to finish
- Experience working with complex partnership agreements and data-driven decision making, including investments and/or acquisitions, that delivered strategic and financial impact
- Proven analytical and numerical aptitude; proficient in analyzing data, including adeptness in financial modeling, for decision making
- Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to story-tell based-upon complex issues and detailed analysis
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically about complex issues, leading to thoughtful recommendations and action plans
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build and manage a network of key internal and external relationships
- Experience engaging with cross-functional teams and collaborating to achieve goals through others
- Strong ability to manage self, prioritize work, drive for results and excel in a fast-paced and fluid environment
- Excellent project management skills, including work prioritization, planning and task delegation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Contribute to all phases of partner development: Identify, evaluate, negotiate, and manage key strategic partnerships to drive growth
- Stay current on industry trends through research, affiliation with professional organizations, and attending conferences and seminars as needed
- Help determine which types of partners to pursue given strategic priorities, source potential partners through broad landscaping, lead the development of a joint business case and value proposition for new partner development
- Provide an analytical approach to business development, leveraging data to drive decisions and filter decisively
- Understand and communicate Kroger and 84.51°'s value proposition to potential partners
- Develop a quick and productive understanding of partners' business models, growth plans and needs of Kroger
- Own the financial modeling exercises to support each business case, establishing revenue targets for new business opportunities and securing resources for opportunities as needed
- Support negotiations and lead contracting to drive optimal relationship structure for partnerships in conjunction with business leaders, Product Strategy, Legal, Finance, and other internal stakeholders
