Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • At least 3 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience.
  • Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles and accounting practices.
  • Ability to prepare financial reports and maintain accurate accounting records.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with accounting systems and financial reporting tools.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
  • Record vendor invoices in the general ledger.
  • Process vendor payments accurately and on time.
  • Prepare routine accounts receivable and accounts payable reports and coordinate invoice approvals with department managers.
  • Record issued invoices and customer payments in the general ledger.
  • Maintain schedules for fixed assets, prepaid expenses, loans, and accrued expenses, and post entries to the accounting system.
  • Execute and review monthly closing activities while ensuring compliance with United States Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and International Financial Reporting Standards.
  • Prepare and oversee consolidated financial statements and monthly reporting packages for headquarters.
  • Perform fluctuation analysis for Profit and Loss and Balance Sheet accounts.
  • Support internal and external audit processes by preparing required documentation.
  • Review accounting operations and recommend process improvements.
  • Enhance accounting systems and operational efficiency.
  • Support accounting and financial projects.
  • Serve as an accounting resource and subject matter expert for internal teams.
Desired Qualifications
  • Japanese language proficiency.
  • Experience working in a multinational or Japanese corporate environment.
  • Knowledge of United States Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and International Financial Reporting Standards reporting standards.
  • Experience supporting audit activities and financial consolidations.
  • Experience with SAP.
