Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or STEM-related field
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in systems troubleshooting and diagnostics, preferably in the automotive or embedded systems industry
  • Experience with Git, Agile methodologies, and scripting/programming languages (preferably Python)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a methodical approach to root cause analysis
  • A passion for autonomous vehicle technology and safety is essential
Responsibilities
  • Utilize data analytics to analyze and diagnose a wide range of system faults and errors related to hardware, software, and sensor data from both on-road testing and system simulation runs.
  • Effectively categorize and prioritize issues based on severity, urgency, and potential impact on safety and performance by working collaboratively with cross-functional teams (engineering, software, testing) and offshore teams.
  • Identify trends in system failures and propose preventative measures to improve overall system safety and robustness by producing clear and concise reports of system issues, troubleshooting steps, and root cause analysis.
  • Be hands-on, lead by example, and develop tools and workflows to drive improvements for both quality and quantity aspects of the triage.
  • Coach and mentor junior members of the team, and help them to grow in their career journey.

Zoox is developing a fully integrated autonomous ride-hailing service with a vehicle designed specifically for self-driving. This vehicle features advanced sensors and AI systems for navigating urban environments and has a spacious interior for up to four passengers. Safety is a priority, with extensive testing and collaboration with regulatory bodies, while the vehicles are fully electric to promote sustainability. The goal is to enhance urban transportation, making it smarter, safer, and more efficient.
