Requirements
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with warehouse management systems such as AS400.
  • Ability to accurately handle, lift, push, pull, and move products weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work in an active warehouse environment with Dry, Chill, and Freezer temperature zones.
  • Ability to stand and walk frequently throughout the shift.
  • Ability to follow FIFO (First-In, First-Out) food safety practices and food safety and quality assurance standards.
  • Ability to maintain a clean, professional appearance and wear the required company-provided uniform.
  • Ability to work Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM in person at the warehouse.
Responsibilities
  • Greet and assist every customer, sales representative, or employee at the Will-Call entrance.
  • Provide clear communication and updates, including estimated wait times, and respond promptly and professionally to questions or concerns.
  • Confirm customer names, items, quantities, and scheduled pickup times.
  • Mark orders correctly in the system as Will Call, verify payment terms, and coordinate with the Will Call office team.
  • Prioritize Will Call orders based on scheduled pickup times.
  • Pick products accurately and efficiently while properly handling perishable and non-perishable items.
  • Label and stage orders in the appropriate Dry, Chill, and Freezer Will Call zones.
  • Store perishable products in temperature-controlled areas until pickup and maintain and document temperatures during staging and transfer.
  • Place completed orders in designated Will Call areas and organize them by pickup schedule.
  • Greet customers upon arrival and verify their identification and order number.
  • Retrieve and review orders with customers for accuracy.
  • Collect payment when applicable, provide an invoice or receipt, and obtain a signature on the pickup confirmation.
  • Update order status in the system in coordination with Will Call office staff, including pickup and invoicing statuses.
  • File signed paperwork appropriately with the Will Call Clerk.
  • Return unused or incorrect products to inventory and restock accordingly.
  • Sanitize the work area regularly, especially after handling perishable or open items, and maintain cleanliness and organization in the Will Call space.
  • Contact management immediately during emergencies or when an unexpected order is printed after hours.
  • Follow the policy that only management may authorize after-hours selection or release of orders.
