Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Proven experience in accounting or finance, with a strong background in the farming and agriculture industry
  • Solid understanding of financial regulations, standards, and best practices relevant to the industry
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and budgets
  • Manage day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, and payroll
  • Ensure compliance with industry-specific financial regulations and company policies
  • Participate in month-end and year-end closing procedures
  • Reconcile bank statements and oversee cash management
  • Collaborate with the Controller to provide financial analysis and insights for decision-making
  • Support internal and external audits, including the preparation of audit schedules and responses to inquiries
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of financial policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with other departments to gather financial data and provide valuable financial information
  • Monitor and analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement
  • Assist with special financial projects as needed
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior staff members in the finance department
