Requirements
  • A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in monitoring, observability, systems engineering, or DevOps roles.
  • Proven experience in monitoring or infrastructure domains.
  • Deep hands-on expertise with open-source monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and Nagios.
  • Strong experience with enterprise monitoring platforms such as SolarWinds.
  • Proficiency in Bash scripting and Linux system administration; experience with RHEL, CentOS, or Ubuntu is preferred.
  • Experience with event-driven architectures and Apache Kafka for real-time data processing.
  • Knowledge of monitoring and observability across Linux systems, storage infrastructure, applications, and network platforms.
  • Understanding of metrics collection, time-series data management, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Experience implementing artificial intelligence or machine-learning-based monitoring solutions or anomaly detection systems.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
  • Strong problem-solving ability in fast-paced, complex environments.
  • Ability to present technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Responsibilities
  • Implement and manage KPI and metrics standards and best practices for the organization.
  • Deploy monitoring solutions using Prometheus, Grafana, Nagios, and SolarWinds.
  • Develop and implement Kafka-based event-streaming and monitoring pipelines for real-time data collection and analysis.
  • Integrate and manage artificial intelligence monitoring capabilities for intelligent alerting, anomaly detection, and predictive insights.
  • Create and maintain documentation and runbooks for monitoring infrastructure, troubleshooting procedures, and operational playbooks.
  • Develop custom scripts and automation in Bash, Python, or Go to enhance monitoring capabilities and reduce operational overhead.
  • Establish and refine service-level agreements, service-level objectives, and alerting thresholds based on business requirements and operational data.
  • Conduct performance analysis and optimize monitoring infrastructure to reduce latency and improve system reliability.
  • Collaborate with DevOps, Platform, and Application teams to provide observability across the full technology stack.
  • Drive continuous improvement by analyzing metrics, gathering feedback, and implementing user-experience enhancements.

Analog Devices acquires Alif Semiconductor for $1.35B to advance AI-native edge processing

Analog Devices will acquire Alif Semiconductor for $1.35 billion in cash, with a potential additional $200 million in contingent payments. The deal, expected to close before the end of 2026, aims to advance what ADI calls "Physical Intelligence" — systems that sense, reason, and act locally in real time. Alif provides AI-native microcontrollers and fusion processors designed for edge intelligence. The acquisition will combine Alif's digital processing platform with ADI's analog capabilities in sensing, signal processing, power, and connectivity. The merger targets applications across industrial, data center infrastructure, defence, energy, robotics, digital health, and wearables. Alif's silicon is already shipping to production customers. PJT Partners advised ADI, whilst Qatalyst Partners advised Alif. The transaction requires regulatory approval under the Hart-Scott-Rodino Antitrust Improvements Act.

The company reported 40% year-over-year revenue growth in its fiscal 2026 third quarter ended 1 August, driven by its Data Centre and Industrial segment. Fourth-quarter guidance suggests another 40% revenue increase. Net income more than doubled to $1.34 billion, achieving a 33% profit margin. The company returned $1.7 billion to shareholders through dividends and buybacks. Bernstein upgrades Analog Devices to Outperform as Q3 beat drives growth outlook

Bernstein upgraded Analog Devices to Outperform from Market Perform and raised its price target to $465 from $430 following the semiconductor company's stronger-than-expected fiscal third-quarter results. Analog Devices reported quarterly revenue of $4.022 billion, beating Wall Street expectations of $3.922 billion, whilst earnings per share reached $3.45 compared with the $3.35 consensus forecast. The upside was spread across the business, with automotive providing particularly strong contribution alongside industrial, consumer and communications revenue. The company's fourth-quarter forecast also exceeded expectations, with revenue guidance of $4.3 billion and earnings of $3.86 per share, well above Wall Street estimates of $4.085 billion and $3.55 respectively. Gross margin is expected to reach approximately 74%, around 150 basis points above consensus. Shares gained around 1% in US premarket trading.
