The person in this role will be in the product engineering team focusing on post silicon validation, developing validation plans and executing the validation plan for next-generation Lightmatter products. The individual will be creating product-specific silicon and system level validation plans for Lightmatter’s products from product definition through qualification and high-volume manufacturing. It also involves engaging with design and platform engineering teams in addition to the supply chain organization to influence the definition of the product and to leverage the capabilities of the ecosystem from a manufacturing process perspective.
Responsibilities
- Lead product silicon and system (platform) validation strategies, requirements and plan for our highly integrated photonics-based AI platform and our photonics chiplet communication fabric.
- Architect, develop and define silicon and system validation environment, test framework, test contents and telemetry data collection plan.
- Understand the Silicon and System architecture and requirements to identify risk design, integration and margin related gaps that need to be validated.
- Responsible for execution of validation plans and debug failures discovered from the test.
- Work closely with Si, Package and System design and Software teams to ensure validation plans cover the right scope, requirements and marginality issues.
- Partner and influence design teams (hardware, software) during pre-silicone target to ensure Pre-Si simulation meets specifications and milestone criteria. As needed, work with the design team to include validation hooks, telemetry sensors etc on Si, test vehicles and reference systems for comprehensive post Si validation and monitoring.
- Drive validation automation (both hardware and software) to improve efficiency of validation processes.
- BS or higher degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or other related fields
- At least 15 years of industry experience and at least 10 years of silicon and system validation experience
- Min 5 years of validation content and script development using Python, C++
- Ability to design and implement process improvements
- Ability to analyze and interpret data to identify trends and areas for improvement
- Ability to work and lead cross functional teams at project level.

Base Compensation Range: $200,000 - $240,000. In accordance with the Colorado, California and New York law, the range provided is Lightmatter’s reasonable estimate of the compensation for this role. Actual pay will be based on several factors including work experience, location and education
