Requirements
  • At least 2 years of machining experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with problem solving, machine setup, visual quality assurance, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, blueprint reading, information processing, quality inspection metrology tools, accuracy and attention to detail, handwriting, communication, data entry, and basic mathematical ability.
  • Ability to remain stationary, move throughout the building, move equipment, position oneself around equipment, and repeatedly handle, adjust, inspect, and position items and equipment.
  • Ability to distinguish writing and defects and communicate and exchange information with others.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States and provide proof of eligibility to work through E-Verify.
  • Candidates offered employment may be required to complete a pre-employment background check and drug screening based on position requirements.
Responsibilities
  • Select programs, collets, bushings, and tooling for setup on computer numerical control lathes.
  • Perform setups and offsets on computer numerical control lathes and three- and four-axis computer numerical control machines.
  • Operate computer numerical control lathes and multiple machines simultaneously for production.
  • Complete required router information, shop work orders, inspection documentation, and daily maintenance sheets.
  • Perform first-piece, first-article, and in-process inspection of parts.
  • Manufacture parts to manufacturing prints or customer prints.
  • Maintain tooling on computer numerical control lathes.
  • Perform weekly, monthly, and quarterly machine maintenance.
  • Perform housekeeping according to the 6S schedule.
  • Monitor machines to ensure proper program performance.
  • Make machine adjustments with minimal supervision.
  • Support quality and compliance by adhering to Quality Management System procedures, work instructions, and forms.
  • Complete all required training.
  • Advocate for the health and safety of self, coworkers, customers, and the community.

  • Lean manufacturing experience.
  • Experience in medical device manufacturing.
  • Machining trade school training.

Tecomet and Orchid Orthopedic Solutions have completed their merger, creating a global manufacturing platform serving MedTech and aerospace and defence customers. The combined company will operate under the Tecomet name, with Andreas Weller serving as CEO.
