Requirements
  • A minimum of five years of experience in information systems within a financial environment is required.
  • Experience using an electronic medical record system, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word is required.
  • Third-party billing experience with knowledge of Current Procedural Terminology, Healthcare Common Procedure Coding System, International Classification of Diseases, 10th Revision, Ambulatory Payment Classifications, and modifiers is required.
  • The employee must be fully vaccinated against seasonal influenza and COVID-19, or obtain an approved medical or personal exemption.
Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate assigned personnel and activities, including patient financial screening, third-party billing vendors, bad debt turnovers, collections, and compliance.
  • Work with external and internal stakeholders to support patient placement and cash collections.
  • Support the needs of the revenue cycle department.
Desired Qualifications
  • A bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience in a healthcare financial environment, including knowledge of medical terminology, is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services compliance regulations, Correct Coding Initiative edits, National Coverage Determinations, and related requirements is preferred.
