This position is tailor made for a robotics enthusiast who wants to take automation to the next level! We are looking for a Hardware & Manufacturing Manager to build the team, facilities, and processes to deliver cutting-edge robotic systems to our customers in North America. As part of a world-class team of roboticists, and with access to state-of-the-art robotics technologies, you will conceptualize, build, troubleshoot, and execute robotics hardware solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure customer satisfaction by successful and on-time delivery of hardware systems
- Develop hardware for various applications from conceptualization through implementation within Mujin production systems
- Build, troubleshoot, maintain, upgrade, and document electromechanical and robotic systems as well as test setups
- Build and execute QA test plans related to hardware to ensure intended lifetime
- Create user manuals for and full documentation sets for all hardware designed
- Define and execute the hardware engineering processes, standards, and best practices to ensure high quality deliverables and compliance with industry regulations
- Set up and maintain systems, workflows, and documentation to manage supply chain, R&D, integration, deployment, and after service
- Set up and maintain hardware R&D and manufacturing facilities
- Workshop for prototyping, manufacturing, and quality assurance
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of hardware engineers with diverse backgrounds and skills
- Collaborate with sales, integration, and operations teams both within Mujin Corp and Mujin group companies globally
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- Strong knowledge of hardware design principles and technologies, including sensors, actuators, and control systems
- Strong understanding of robotics and material handling systems
- Proficiency in hardware and design and analysis tools, including CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, EPLAN, and related PDM etc.
- Experience with embedded systems design and microcontroller programming
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a strong attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment
