Position: Python Cloud Developer Internship (REMOTE)

Reports to: CTO

Location: Remote

Position Overview

Join our fast-growing team! You will help support our team as we build a robust data engine to build business-critical, scalable, and robust data pipelines and intuitive data products that power data discovery and analysis. You will help support build Vee’s data capability and data strategy.

1. Learn AWS serverless development using Python

2. Help architect, design, and code serverless solutions using our AWS Cloud storage and computer layers

2. Do technical research on platforms and services to support our architecture decisions

3. Help solve some workflows challenges in mission critical applications

4. Help support our code repository

5. Write or contribute to agile documentation and help establish, socialize, and audit best practices

General Responsibilities

· Partner with DevOps, Data Engineer and Data Scientist interns, People Science and other teams

· Participate in standups

· Learn and operate in an Agile process using Jira

Core Experience & Requirements

· Software Engineering experience with high proficiency in Python

· Proficient SQL skills

· Familiarity with (proficiency preferred) Python plotting/charting libraries and Platform-as-a Service

Preferred Experience

· Experience with some or all the following AWS products: S3, Redshift, Lambda, Code Pipeline

· Experience with CI CD

· Code management in GitHub

· Writing Integrations using AWS API Gateways

· Working with Vendor REST APIs
