Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science of Mechanical Engineering
  • 1-5 years of testing experience
  • Experience with field data acquisition systems including IMC DataWorks, NI Labview, and Hioki a plus
  • Programming experience with Labview and PLCs a plus
  • Experience with Siemens NX and Teamcenter Unified a plus
  • Frequency analysis experience a plus
  • Experience with digital signal data collection and processing
  • Excellent computer file management skills
  • Experience with Microsoft office products
  • Excellent project and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Responsibilities
  • Facilitate, perform, and complete various cost-reduction projects.
  • Complete the tests requested by the product engineers. This includes setting up the test unit, configuring the data acquisition system, performing the test, analyzing the test data, and writing a detailed test report.
  • Write detailed test specifications and procedures. This includes performing testing on existing and competitive products as well as reviewing other industry test procedures to develop acceptance criteria.
  • Design and implement the necessary test fixtures. This includes developing detailed engineering drawings and schematics, identifying and procuring the necessary hardware, overseeing the fabrication, programming the software (PLC and Labview), and ensuring it performs properly during use.
  • Operate and improve the existing test fixtures. Determine the areas where improvement is needed, identifying solutions and implementing them.
  • Ensure that all the testing instrumentation is kept within calibration.
  • Travel approximately 10 days/yr
