Salary Nonexempt - security (United States of America)As the Legal & HR functions are constantly evolving, we are looking for a dynamic Legal & HR Intern in our Atlanta office who will leverage technology and artificial intelligence to improve our standard processes and procedures. The intern will report directly to the VP, Deputy General Counsel, and will primarily be focused on developing an AI agent to assist managers in drafting essential personnel documentation.

The experience is designed to provide opportunities to work with Legal, HR, and IS on a variety of projects, with the key project being the development of an AI agent to assist managers in drafting essential personnel documentation.

• Work with Legal, HR, and stakeholders in the business to define requirements
• Work with IS team on development of AI agent
• Work with various stakeholders on UAT for AI agent
• Create documentation and training materials for agent to ensure a smooth handoff after conclusion of internship

What does the internship experience look like?
As an intern, you will have exposure to real projects and will play a crucial role in the decision-making process.  The experience will include:

What will I gain from the internship?

• You will gain an understanding of the Altium Packaging business, legal and HR departments, and a wealth of functional IS experience.  You will develop skills in leadership, cross-functional collaboration, presentation & public speaking, AI agent development, and project management. The skills you develop from this internship will serve you well throughout the rest of your education, and your future professional career.

Required Education and Experience

• Enrolled in a bachelors degree program in computer science or related field, with a strong interest in law or human resources or enrolled in a bachelors degree program in psychology or human resources management with a strong interest in computer science and artificial intelligence
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 or above
• Knowledge of AI tools (e.g. copilot, LLM)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Microsoft excel and powerpoint proficiency
• Strong analytical skills
• Must be available to work full-time for a minimum of 10 weeks, though 12 weeks is preferred (May-August)

• Reasonable mandatory overtime may be required due to business needs.
