Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Current, valid Oregon Certified Nursing Assistant certification (per the 2025 unified certification requirements)
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification
  • Proficiency in basic computer use and electronic documentation
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work effectively
  • Able to work collaboratively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
  • Strong understanding of cultural sensitivity and developmental stages of care
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions with attention to detail
  • Must communicate clearly and effectively in English via reading, writing, and speaking
  • May be required to lift up to 50 pounds
Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality, compassionate, and efficient patient care under the direction and supervision of licensed nursing staff
  • In alignment with Oregon’s updated 2025 CNA certification standards, perform a comprehensive range of clinical, clerical, and support functions that promote patient health, safety, and dignity
  • Assist with daily living activities
  • Collect objective data
  • Support therapeutic interventions
  • Maintain accurate documentation
  • Coordinate unit activities
  • Ensure a safe, clean, and organized environment
  • All CNA tasks are carried out under the direction of a Registered Nurse, who provides guidance and oversight to ensure safe and appropriate care delivery
Desired Qualifications
  • Previous CNA experience in a hospital or acute care setting preferred
  • Familiarity with medical terminology preferred
