Requirements
  • Must have a high school diploma or GED.
  • Must pass a post-offer physical examination and drug screening.
  • Ability to read, write, and understand product documentation and specification drawings.
  • Ability to accurately complete paperwork.
  • Ability to use measuring devices and gauges.
  • Ability to perform basic addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division and understand decimals.
  • Basic computer data-entry and retrieval skills.
  • Well-developed eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity.
  • Good manual dexterity.
  • Ability to occasionally lift a maximum of 30 pounds.
  • Ability to work most of the day in a controlled environment with special gowning, clothing, and hygiene requirements.
  • Required use of safety glasses.
  • Limited exposure to hazardous chemicals used in manufacturing products.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
Responsibilities
  • Follow procedures for product assembly and fabrication, cleaning, packaging, labeling, equipment operation, and safety requirements documented in the company quality system.
  • Read, understand, and follow specifications for products being manufactured.
  • Fabricate raw materials into specified products using mechanical and manual techniques.
  • Perform inspections and testing as required.
  • Accurately complete necessary documentation.
  • Follow all quality system documents.
  • Report to work punctually and as scheduled.
  • Perform fine manipulative processes using a microscope, micro forge, video screen, and other equipment for most of the workday at a seated or standing workstation.
  • Perform work in a controlled environment with special gowning, clothing, and hygiene requirements.
  • Perform computer functions.
  • Perform routine maintenance on certain production machinery.
  • Provide training to production personnel.
  • Assist in introducing new or improved products into production.
  • Provide input to a supervisor or manager to improve department operation and efficiency.
  • Identify and report possible preventive and corrective actions.
