Tombras, a 400+ person, full-service, national advertising agency with a digital mindset, is seeking an Associate Director, Digital Investment.
Where you’ll be working: Knoxville or Atlanta office.
The Associate Director, Digital Investments will play a critical role in leading and managing the digital investments team, overseeing the planning, execution, and optimization of digital advertising campaigns. This role requires a deep understanding of digital media planning, buying, and performance analysis in the Direct and Programmatic space. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to drive maximum return on investment (ROI) for our clients’ campaigns.
What you will be doing:
- Leadership and Team Management: Provide leadership and mentorship to the digital investments team, ensuring the team’s success and fostering a collaborative work environment. Set team goals, monitor performance, and provide guidance and support to drive exceptional results.
- Strategic Planning: Develop comprehensive Programmatic and Direct digital media strategies aligned with client objectives, target audience, and market trends. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure strategies integrate seamlessly with overall marketing initiatives.
- Campaign Execution and Optimization: Oversee the end-to-end execution of digital advertising campaigns across multiple the Direct and Programmatic space. Monitor campaign performance, analyze data, and identify optimization opportunities to improve ROI and campaign effectiveness.
- Media Planning and Buying: Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders to determine media budgets and develop strategic media plans. Execute media buys, negotiate rates, and manage relationships with media vendors to ensure campaign success.
- Budget Management: Ensure effective allocation of media budgets across campaigns, platforms, and tactics. Monitor budget utilization and provide strategic recommendations for optimization and maximizing ROI.
- Client Collaboration: Serve as a key point of contact for clients, understanding their business goals and collaborating to develop tailored digital media strategies. Communicate campaign performance, insights, and recommendations in a clear and compelling manner.
- Reporting and Analysis: Generate comprehensive reports and performance dashboards to track campaign progress, identify trends, and communicate results to internal teams and clients. Provide strategic insights and actionable recommendations for ongoing campaign optimization.
- Industry Insights: Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in digital media planning and buying. Apply industry insights to drive innovation, enhance campaign effectiveness, and deliver exceptional results for clients.
- Collaboration and Coordination: Foster strong working relationships with internal teams, including creative, account management, and data analytics. Collaborate to deliver integrated and cohesive campaigns that meet client objectives.
What you bring:
- 7+ years of experience in digital media planning, buying, or advertising, with a focus on Direct and Programmatic digital investments. Significant experience in a leadership or managerial role is essential.
- In-depth knowledge of digital advertising platforms, including programmatic advertising and other relevant tools. Familiarity with data management platforms (DMPs) and customer relationship management (CRM) systems is a plus.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and mentor a team. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with team members and clients.
- Proven ability to develop and execute comprehensive digital media strategies aligned with business goals, target audience behavior, and market dynamics. Demonstrated expertise in campaign optimization and driving ROI.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets, derive actionable insights, and make data-driven recommendations for campaign optimization.
- A track record of delivering exceptional results and exceeding client expectations. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced agency environment.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to understand clients’ business objectives and leverage digital investments to drive growth and success.
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, business, or a related field. A master’s degree or relevant certifications are a plus.
