Requirements
  • 7+ years of professional experience
  • Experience identifying and engaging high net worth individuals and senior executives
  • Experience building, and generating revenue through, high touch, mutually beneficial relationships
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with ability to effectively convey complex ideas clearly
  • Exceptional PowerPoint / slides skills a plus
  • Strong ability to lead cross-functional collaboration and communication, and to actively listen and incorporate inputs from multiple stakeholders
  • Proactive and resourceful
  • Comfort with CRM support systems, and willingness to learn and frequently use SalesForce specifically
  • Strong project management skills
  • Experience with project management tools, such as Asana, a plus
  • MBA or other advanced degree a plus

Responsibilities
  • Manages a portfolio of existing and prospective donors and supporters, including both those where the Advancement Officer is the primary point of contact and those where the Advancement Officer acts as a support to another internal lead
  • Takes a holistic approach to engagement that strategically leverages stakeholder time, treasure, and talents in ways that both meet MLT objectives and are of value to the stakeholder
  • Represents MLT at West Coast donor networking opportunities to identify, cultivate, and solicit donor prospects
  • Participates in identifying, qualifying, and cultivating a robust pipeline of prospective donors and stakeholders
  • Develops thoughtful, tailored donor solicitation plans, communications, and materials, and makes donor solicitations
  • Designs and drives customized engagement plans that align with MLT financial and other goals and deepen stakeholder involvement, enthusiasm, and long-term commitment
  • Listens actively to understand the stakeholder’s perspective and engages in high-touch audience-centered communications to build meaningful and lasting stakeholder relationships
  • Effectively and collaboratively project manages engagement strategies and donor solicitations, working in partnership with cross-functional teams
