GENERAL SUMMARY
The LDA Assistant Media Planner’s primary responsibility is to work directly with a media planner on LDA Regional markets. The AMP will learn all aspects of spot market media including spot TV/Cable, spot radio, newspaper, local magazine, out-of-home, local digital and some exposure to sponsorships/event marketing. The AMP will also gain a broad base knowledge of media terminology, media options and basic media planning.
Day to Day:
- Goal Entry / SBA issuance to Zenith.
- Update and maintain flowcharts/budgets and related documents.
- Budget and billing reconciliations.
- Create insertion orders (Digital, Print, Out Of Home).
- Assist with POVs, ultimately doing them by themselves.
- Media/Market Research (CMR, IMS, Kantar, comScore)
- Establish strong working relationship with our broadcast buyers at Zenith & Field Account team.
- Assist with Digital buys and metrics reports.
- Assist on market plans, ultimately managing some markets themselves.
- Participate in the implementation and maintenance for all Western Area media campaigns.
- Assist team with Heavy Up/Cut Recommendations, ultimately doing them by themselves.
- Support and generate ideas to support an “Ideas Culture” agency.
Qualifications
Experience:
- Prior media internship experience is a plus.
- Computer literate, with some experience in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- A solid understanding of basic math, especially algebra, would be ideal.
- Experience in proper business communications a plus.
- Self-motivated, enthusiastic, team player that likes working in a large groups.
Education: A Bachelor’s degree.
Skills and Abilities: This person must be highly organized, with a charismatic and varied communication style.
