  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Five or more years of related work experience in operational management are required.
  • A valid driver's license and automobile insurance are required, or reliable alternate transportation that supports timely travel to multiple offices per day.
  • Reliable transportation is required for planned or unplanned travel between assigned offices.
  • Knowledge of dental plans, insurance fees, administrative guidelines, limitations and exclusions, reporting systems, business correspondence, business reporting techniques, and profit and loss statements is required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft applications, Epic, 1VU, BOX, standard office equipment, computers, keyboards, and calculators is required.
  • Ability to make timely and accurate decisions using available information, including when information is vague or limited, is required.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks and projects with limited direction, and work effectively in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment is required.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial reports and legal documents and respond to inquiries from patients, team members, regulatory agencies, vendors, and other business community members is required.
  • Ability to apply judgment, interpret policies and procedures, and make decisions under pressure is required.
  • Ability to work with probability, statistical inference, fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions is required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and present information verbally and in writing is required.
  • Ability to lead a team, prioritize duties, coach, mentor, train, write performance evaluations, provide feedback, and handle team member relations issues is required.

Responsibilities
  • Model company culture, values, standards, and best operational practices while creating an environment that promotes the company’s culture and values.
  • Assess, hire, train, supervise, counsel, coach, and retain right-fit team members.
  • Assess, investigate, and resolve staff and patient issues by analyzing facts and circumstances and developing timely, effective, logical, and creative solutions.
  • Execute the operational model consistently to meet office imperatives in partnership with the Owner Dentist.
  • Drive year-over-year revenue and profit growth.
  • Manage expenses to achieve monthly goals and budget.
  • Maintain proficiency in and adherence to cash management and accounting protocols.
  • Develop the team’s ability to deliver the Perfect Patient Experience.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and mentoring to team members and identify and implement improvement opportunities.
  • Maintain open communication with direct supervisors, report accomplishments and improvement areas weekly, and establish clear performance goals.
  • Use people-related functions including assessment, hiring, retention, performance evaluation, separation processes, and compensation guidance and execution.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and state, federal, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Manage Front Office and Back Office team members and demonstrate team development capabilities.
  • Develop and implement an office success plan, including staff development and office protocols for efficient operations during manager absences.
  • Perform other duties assigned by the direct supervisor that improve team member development outcomes.
Desired Qualifications
  • Dental experience is preferred.
  • An associate degree or bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Five or more years of experience leading a team, mentoring, and coaching subordinates is preferred.
