Requirements

Responsibilities
  • Originate, evaluate, and advance data center land sites from inception through the development stage, including site control, zoning, entitlements, permitting, and infrastructure readiness, with the objective of preparing sites for sale to third‑party data center developers.
  • Coordination with origination, engineering, legal, finance and other commercial teams to advance project from inception to NTP.
  • Lead site-level diligence for data center land opportunities, including land use and zoning, environmental constraints, access, utility availability, water considerations, transmission proximity, and infrastructure constraints.
  • Develop and execute land acquisition strategies, including negotiating and managing options, leases, purchase agreements, easements, title, and survey, in coordination with legal and real estate teams.
  • Advance entitlement and permitting pathways (rezoning, site plan approvals, conditional/special use permits, and other local/state approvals) to deliver development‑ready sites at handover.
  • Coordinate handover packages for buyers, including development documentation, permits, studies, interconnection status, and critical path summaries.
  • Support development-related due diligence for acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, and strategic partnerships, including environmental, geotechnical, title/survey, permitting, and interconnection reviews.
  • Compile and synthesize development inputs for investment memoranda, site sale materials, and leadership updates.
  • Form and lead comprehensive project teams using Origis Tier 1 consultants to conduct early-stage risk analysis and advance development efficiently.
  • Manage vendors and project budgets through the SAP system, ensuring cost control and schedule discipline.
  • Represent Origis in meetings with utilities, permitting authorities, community stakeholders, consultants, and counterparties.
  • Evaluate transmission grids and land constraints to identify and recommend optimal sites for data center land development and co-located or adjacent energy opportunities.
  • Interface with utilities, ISOs/RTOs, municipalities, and other regulatory entities regarding transmission, distribution, interconnection and service agreements
  • Work closely with early-stage interconnection teams to assist with interconnection applications, study management, and milestone tracking through LGIA execution, where applicable to land value and marketability.
  • Assess infrastructure readiness (electric, water, gas where applicable, access roads, fiber) and identify gaps or mitigation strategies to improve site attractiveness to buyers.

Origis Energy secures $545M for 413MW Texas solar portfolio in West Texas expansion

Origis Energy has secured $545 million in senior secured project financing for its Rockhound solar portfolio in Texas. The deal was arranged by Natixis Corporate & Investment Banking and Santander Corporate & Investment Banking. The Rockhound portfolio comprises three utility-scale solar projects in Ector County totalling 413 MW, currently under construction with commercial operations expected in summer 2026. These projects form part of a broader West Texas complex anticipated to exceed 700 MW when combined with the Swift Air Solar II and III projects. The financing package includes a construction loan, term loan, tax credit bridge and letters of credit. Chief Financial Officer Alice Heathcote said the deal demonstrates the portfolio's quality and the firm's ability to manage complex, multi-asset financings at scale.

Crux secures $340M tax equity investment for Origis Energy's 413 MWdc Texas solar project

Crux and Origis Energy have announced a $340 million tax equity investment for a 413 MWdc utility-scale solar project in Ector County, Texas. The project is expected to begin commercial operations in the second half of 2026. The solar facility will generate over 900GWh of energy annually, enough to power 85,000 homes, and is projected to contribute $68 million in property tax revenue to Ector County. The investment was structured by Crux Capital Securities as a hybrid partnership flip designed to optimise federal investment tax credits through transferability. Crux estimates that hybrid tax equity structures accounted for more than 75% of all tax equity investments in 2025. The deal establishes a framework for future investments as Origis Energy expands its renewable energy portfolio across Texas and the United States.

Origis Energy closes $290MM financing for Swift Air Solar II and III projects with Natixis CIB and Santander. Natixis CIB and Santander acted as coordinating lead arrangers and bookrunners, hedging banks, and LC issuers, with Natixis CIB serving as green loan coordinator and administrative agent for the $290 million debt financing package. Origis Energy, a renewable energy platforms, announced financial close for the Swift Air Solar II and Swift Air Solar III projects in Ector County, Texas. The two projects have a combined nameplate capacity of 313 MWdc. The $290 million senior secured debt facilities include construction debt, term debt and a tax credit bridge loan from Natixis Corporate & Investment Banking (Natixis CIB) and Santander Corporate & Investment Banking. Natixis CIB and Santander acted as coordinating lead arrangers and bookrunners, hedging banks and LC issuers, with Natixis CIB serving as green loan coordinator and administrative agent for the $290 million debt financing package. Origis Energy secures $265M from Advantage Capital for 305MW US solar portfolio

Origis Energy has secured $265 million in tax equity financing from Advantage Capital to support a 305MW solar portfolio across three US projects. The funding will back Florida's 96MW Whistling Duck solar project ($65 million) and Alabama's combined 209MW Walker Springs I and II projects. Commercial operations at Whistling Duck and Walker Springs I are expected to begin this month, with Walker Springs II starting in early 2026. All three projects will use domestically sourced equipment. The deal continues a partnership between the firms, following Advantage Capital's previous $125 million commitment for Origis's 145MW Swift Air Solar project in Texas. The financing comes amid growing corporate solar investment, with corporate solar financing reaching $6.5 billion in Q3 2025, up 14% year-on-year according to Mercom Capital Group.
