Civil Drainage Engineer I – Transportation Infrastructure
Opportunity :
Our Parsons Seattle office has an exciting new opportunity for a Civil Drainage Engineer I to work with design engineering of culverts and drainage systems for public works transportation projects in the State of Washington. In this role you will get to work alongside our drainage team on a wide variety of exciting projects, including highway design, light rail planning and design, fish passage improvements and site developments.
The Civil Engineer at this level typically has 2 years or more of foundational experience with drainage and hydrology systems design for transportation systems or site development projects. We offer hybrid remote working ( meaning allowed to work from home at least 2 days per week).
Responsibilities
:
Will utilize Microstation CAD software to design drainage and culvert systems for road, highway, and other transportation projects in Washington State.
This role will support design engineering of the following :
- Stormwater quality BMP design
- Plan development and drafting
- Supporting fish passage improvement design
- Conveyance System Design
- Stormwater runoff delineation and modeling
Requirements :
4-year degree in Civil Engineering (or related field) and 3 years or more of related work experience with drainage systems design.
Prior internships in the field are a plus.
(EIT) is highly desirable.

- Strong educational background in the drainage and water quality fields
- Passion to learn and grow in the engineering industry
- Good communication and collaboration skills
- Willingness to contribute on a variety of roles on complex, large-scale projects
- An enthusiastic can-do attitude!

Salary Range:
