ALDI Australia runs a discount grocery chain with about 600 stores and over 17,000 employees. It offers a limited, carefully chosen range of high-quality groceries at permanently low prices, focusing on private-label and select brands. It keeps costs down by sourcing locally through more than 1,000 Australian partners and running a lean, efficient store format, then passes the savings to shoppers. Its goal is to help everyday Australians live richer lives for less, while supporting customers, staff, and the communities and environment they operate in.

  • ALDI launched DoorDash Special Buys and liquor on 6 January 2026.
  • ALDI expanded Queensland holiday packages and cookware collaborations during Q1-Q2 2026.

What critics are saying

  • Revenue growth slowed to A$13.94 billion in FY2025, while profit fell 20%.
