Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, science, or related discipline
  • 8 or more years of increasingly responsible professional engineering/scientific experience
  • Knowledge and understanding of the NASA program life cycle
  • Knowledge and understanding of systems engineering, including requirements, interfaces, verifications, and integrated performance for spaceflight hardware
  • Ability to effectively utilize oral and written communication to express technical concepts and recommendations to personnel at all technical and managerial levels
  • Ability to work in various SE&I functions in a quick-paced, small core team that leads technical discussions across a large EVA community
Responsibilities
  • Develop and utilize SE&I processes and products for the development of EVA hardware. Processes include but not limited to requirements development, inputs, traceability, verification and validation, and technical measures
  • Manage the Artemis EVA insight team by meeting with the performing organization regularly to drive compliance to requirements and ensure they are on track to complete their tasks
  • Work with the EHP SE&I Cross-Stakeholder Integration (CSI) team to support the Human Landing System (HLS) and Gateway programs
  • Serve as the EVA Development Project representative to the HLS and Gateway IPTs, and backup representative to the Lunar Terrain Vehicle (LTV) and Pressurized Rover (PR) panels and configuration boards
  • Coordinate/own Artemis-related risks using the EVA Dev risk tool to document risks and mitigation plans and ensuring that the plans are executed per the established schedule
  • Provide Artemis schedule integration by working with the performing organizations and the EVA Dev scheduling team to make sure the schedules are achievable and are being met
  • Provide direction to the Artemis EVA Insight (AEI) Team during Insight Team meetings with the performing organization
  • Provide Exploration EVA Services (xEVAS) certification management for Artemis Demo and Services
  • Provide guidance with contractual/programmatic discussions related to testing, report on schedule, define/update roles and responsibilities of the test teams
