- A High School Diploma or GED is required.
- One to three years of experience in a behavioral health setting is preferred.
- A Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card is required, or the ability to obtain one upon hire.
- The role requires the ability to remain calm, compassionate, and effective in high-pressure situations.
- Basic understanding of psychiatric emergencies, therapeutic de-escalation, and trauma-informed care is required.
- Monitor and maintain patient safety and engagement during stabilization.
- Conduct patient security screenings and personal property inventories upon admission.
- Respond to escalated behavior using therapeutic de-escalation techniques and, when necessary, administer restraint or seclusion interventions.
- Assist with activities of daily living, including toileting, dressing, hygiene, and eating.
- Collect and document vital signs, blood alcohol levels, urine drug screens, and pregnancy tests.
- Record interactions, observations, and Q30 safety checks in the Electronic Health Record.
- Maintain a clean and organized environment, launder patient clothing, and assist with linens.
- Float between units as needed and participate in required supervision and ongoing training.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support patients and clinical teams.
- One to three years of experience in a behavioral health setting.
- Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills.

Care begins with immediate assessment and stabilization in short, roughly two-hour appointments designed to reduce unnecessary ER visits and hospital admissions, with payments mainly through insurance and direct patient payments.
