Requirements
  • A Master's degree in a related field such as counseling or social work.
  • One of the following licenses is required: Licensed Associate Counselor, Licensed Social Worker, Licensed Professional Counselor, or Licensed Clinical Social Worker.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience completing assessments and providing brief individualized clinical interventions to youth and families.
  • Ability to work flexible hours before, during, and after school hours to meet community needs.
  • Strong organization, accuracy, and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to consider new ideas.
Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical services to students in person and through telehealth.
  • Complete student assessments and provide brief clinical interventions.
  • Provide individual and/or group counseling and support to students, along with supportive consultations for their families.
  • Facilitate treatment referrals to community treatment resources as necessary.
  • Establish collaborative relationships with school personnel and faculty to ensure clear communications and project expectations.
  • Assist students, families, and faculty in understanding and navigating the mental health and social services system.
  • Serve as a liaison, advocate, and collaborator with other treatment providers on behalf of youth and families.
  • Complete professional clinical documentation and charting required by oversight organizations and funding sources.
  • Develop and implement age-appropriate program evaluation tools with the school, agency, NJ4S Hub Advisory Committee, and Department of Children and Families to determine outcome measures and the overall effectiveness of interventions.
  • Complete mandated professional-development coursework through Relias Learning, the Department of Children and Families, and continuing-education credits.
  • Meet expected productivity levels for direct service provision to individuals served.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the NJ4S Hub Director.
Desired Qualifications
  • Relevant independent licensure and the ability to provide clinical supervision to professionals who do not possess full licensure.
  • Previous training in motivational interviewing.
