IXL Learning, a leading edtech company with products used by 14 million students worldwide, is looking for an Email Marketing Specialist. As a part of our growing Email Marketing team, you’ll play an important part in managing email communications that help to acquire and engage prospective administrators and educators.

Working closely with Email Marketing Managers and various stakeholders, you’ll use our email tool and production processes to take emails from concept to delivery. Using email best practices, you’ll optimize email response and conversions while striving to create the best possible user experience.

The ideal candidate is creative, proactive, articulate, organized, and is passionate about IXL’s mission to impact education.

This is a full-time position in our San Mateo, CA office with a hybrid work schedule.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

• Manage emails as they move through all steps of the email production channel
• Working with stakeholders, edit elements of the email copy and make recommendations to improve email design
• Produce emails in our campaign tool, coordinating design, uploading email lists, scheduling email sends, and more
• Suggest ideas to continuously improve our email marketing strategies and production processes
• Monitor analytics and make suggestions on how we can optimize results
• Report results and learnings to the team
• Ensure the success of email execution by conducting thorough QA of all email elements

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• BA/BS degree required
• 2+ years of experience in an operational or marketing role
• Ability to manage multiple projects and learn new technologies
• Experience managing or building email campaigns is a plus
• HTML knowledge is a plus
• You are detail-oriented: You follow systematic production and Q&A processes to ensure that emails are executed flawlessly
• You have excellent interpersonal skills: You’re a team player, have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and you are skilled at working cross-functionally

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The base salary range for this full-time position is $65,000 to $75,000 + benefits. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
