Valmont brings genetic testing into its personalized skincare strategy.

Valmont brings genetic testing into its personalized skincare strategy. * Written by Emily Chen * Aug 10, 2026 The Swiss skincare company is combining genetic analysis, lifestyle assessment and beauty treatments in a $1,500 program that reflects the expanding market for personalized longevity. Valmont is moving deeper into the growing longevity market with The Art of Longevity, a personalized program combining genetic testing, lifestyle assessment and skincare expertise. Developed with longevity specialist Dr. Filippo Ongaro, the initiative produces an individualized plan covering skin, sleep, mobility, nutrition and mental resilience, extending the company's traditional beauty focus into a broader interpretation of wellness. The program begins with an assessment of 146 variations across 90 genes alongside a 40-question lifestyle questionnaire. According to Valmont, the analysis considers factors including cell regeneration, oxidative stress and inflammation before informing a personalized blueprint of treatments and lifestyle priorities. Participants may then receive skincare recommendations, facials and other treatments incorporating techniques such as lymphatic drainage, fasciatherapy, Kobido and mind-body massage. The approach reflects a wider shift in the beauty and wellness industries, where personalization is increasingly moving beyond product recommendations toward biological data and lifestyle information. Valmont cites Research and Markets projections that the global longevity economy will surpass $740 billion in 2026, a market being shaped by growing interest in areas including genomics, artificial intelligence and regenerative medicine. The company's program illustrates how skincare brands are positioning themselves within that broader conversation about aging and long-term well-being. Genetic testing also introduces questions about privacy that do not arise with conventional beauty consultations. Valmont says testing is performed by certified European laboratory BMR Genomics, with participant information encrypted and anonymized in accordance with GDPR requirements. The company also states that raw genetic data remains confidential and is restricted to the individual evaluation, making data handling an important component of a service built around highly personal biological information. The Signature Longevity Blueprint costs $1,500, while personalized Mind & Body treatments begin at $295. It is currently available at La Maison Valmont locations in Madrid, Munich and New York at The Carlyle Hotel, with Beverly Hills expected to follow in 2027. Whether consumers embrace this combination of skincare and genetic analysis remains to be seen, but its arrival demonstrates how the language and tools of longevity are increasingly entering the premium beauty market.

Valmont top line rises on product sales mix.

Valmont top line rises on product sales mix. Valmont Industries (NYSE: VMI), based in Omaha, NE, reported top line sales for 2Q26 of $1.12 billion, up over six percent from $1.05 billion in 2Q25. The company derives its sales from two main lines of business: Infrastructure and Agriculture. Infrastructure is Valmont's primary business, accounting for 78 percent of net sales in the quarter, at $879 million, a 15 percent year-over-year increase. The unit comprises towers and structural products and solutions designed for utility, lighting, transportation, and telecommunications infrastructure markets, along with coatings services to protect metal products. The company says Infrastructure end markets remained strong, supporting sales growth of 34 percent in North America Utility and 17 percent in North America Coatings, driven by favorable pricing and higher volumes. International sales increased primarily due to favorable foreign currency impacts. These increases were partially offset by lower volumes in North America telecom markets mainly due to reduced capital spending among mobile network operators. Agriculture, accounting for the remaining 22 percent of net sales, includes center pivot and linear irrigation equipment components for agricultural markets, including aftermarket parts and tubular products, and advanced technology solutions for precision agriculture. Agriculture sales declined 16 percent YoY to $244 million, compared to $289 million in 2Q25. North American irrigation sales decreased by more than two percent due to lower volumes amid what the company says is continued agriculture market softness, partially offset by favorable pricing. International sales decreased 29 percent, driven primarily by disruptions associated with the ongoing Middle East conflict. Based on its performance through mid-year, Valmont raised its guidance for full year 2026 midpoint net sales to $4.4 billion, with Infrastructure mid-point net sales of $3.5 billion and Agriculture net sales unchanged from prior guidance of $925 million. The company's capital expenditure guidance remained unchanged at $170-200 million for the year. Valmont points out its guidance assumes that, as of July 17, steel costs are aligned with futures markets, foreign currency is based on prevailing FX rates and current tariffs apply, with no material change to the current trade or tariff environment.
