Requirements
  • Auditor II: BS degree in Accounting, Business or Computer Science or related field
  • Auditor II: And two years of audit experience, or equivalent.
  • Auditor II: MBA, CPA, CIA or CISA certification preferred
  • Auditor Senior: BS degree in Accounting, Business or Computer Science or related field
  • Auditor Senior: Plus a minimum of three years audit experience, or equivalent.
  • Auditor Senior: MBA, CPA, CIA or CISA certification preferred
  • Auditor Senior: Prior utility experience is also preferred
Responsibilities
  • Auditor II under close supervision, plan and conduct routine audits and reviews to provide an independent verification and evaluation of the Company's operations.
  • Auditor II critically assess routine issues and formulate recommendations to properly safeguard Company assets and improve operations, under close supervision.
  • Auditor II interact with senior auditors and supervisor to clearly communicate issues and/or concerns.
  • Auditor II maintain a positive attitude and even temperament to promote teamwork and cooperation.
  • Auditor II comply with GAAP, GAAS, IIA standards and Company procedures to ensure objectivity, independence and professionalism of audits.
  • Auditor II under the direction of senior auditors, may interview management and staff of the auditees to learn their processes and formulate risk assessments of what will require significant coverage in the audit. Document the processes in a flowchart or written report, and confirm understanding with the auditee.
  • Auditor II maintain up-to-date knowledge of new and changing regulations that may impact work.
  • Auditor II may audit and evaluate risk for information systems, platforms, and operating procedures in accordance with established corporate standards for efficiency, accuracy and security. Determine and recommend improvements in current risk management controls and implementation of system changes or upgrades.
  • Auditor Senior: Gather and evaluate background information to plan an audit on any area selected in the company. This includes learning the area's goals and operations, accounting and legal regulations affecting the area and significant contracts.
  • Auditor Senior: With limited or no supervision, plan and conduct audits and reviews to provide an independent verification and evaluation of the Company's operations.
  • Auditor Senior: Interview management and staff of the auditees to learn their processes and formulate risk assessments of what will require significant coverage in the audit.
  • Auditor Senior: Critically assess issues and formulate recommendations to properly safeguard Company assets and improve operations, under little or no direction from supervisor.
  • Auditor Senior: Interact with management, peers and auditees to clearly communicate issues and/or concerns. Educate them as to what risks the company is exposed to as a result of the issues.
  • Auditor Senior: Document the processes, findings and recommendations in a written report, and confirm understanding with the auditee.
  • Auditor Senior: Comply with GAAP, GAAS, IIA standards and Company procedures to ensure objectivity, independence and professionalism of audits.
  • Auditor Senior: Maintain a positive attitude and even temperament to promote teamwork and cooperation. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of new and changing regulations that may impact work.
