The role of the Mergers and Acquisitions and Financial Planning & Analysis Manager is an individual contributor role which will drive our growth strategy through mergers and acquisitions (M&A), financial planning and analysis (FP&A), and ensuring seamless integration of acquired entities.
- Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A):
- Collaborate with investment bankers and other financial advisors to identify potential acquisition targets.
- Conduct outreach and prospecting efforts to engage with potential targets.
- Evaluate potential acquisition opportunities, including financial analysis, market assessment, and strategic fit.
- Prepare detailed valuation models and presentations for executive review.
- Due Diligence:
- Lead and coordinate due diligence efforts, working closely with internal and external teams.
- Evaluate financials, operational metrics, and other key data of potential targets.
- Collaborate with external parties such as accountants, tax advisors, and legal experts to ensure comprehensive diligence.
- Identify potential risks and opportunities related to financial, tax, and accounting aspects of acquisitions.
- Integration:
- Work with internal counterparts in operations, finance, and other relevant departments to develop and execute integration plans.
- Ensure smooth transition and integration of acquired entities into FreedomCare’s operations.
- Monitor and report on integration progress, addressing any challenges that arise.
- Support post-acquisition activities to achieve operational and financial synergies.
- Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A):
- Partner with internal launch teams and marketing teams to build accurate and robust financial forecasts.
- Develop growth projections and compare them against GAAP financials recorded in the accounting system.
- Provide insightful analysis and reporting on financial performance, highlighting key trends and variances.
- Support budgeting and long-term financial planning processes.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics or related field; MBA strongly preferred.
- Relevant experience in mergers and acquisitions or corporate development.
- Proficiency and relevant experience in financial modeling, forecasting and reporting.
Qualifications:
- Due Diligence: Ability to lead and coordinate due diligence efforts for acquisitions.
- Integration: Ability to manage post-acquisition integration, working across multiple departments to ensure smooth transitions.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to assess strategic fit of potential acquisition opportunities and develop integration plans.
- Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects and partner with cross-functional teams.
- Communication: Effective written and verbal communication skills for presentations and reports.
- Problem-Solving: Demonstrated ability to define, analyze, research and communicate financial issues and propose solutions.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to ensure accuracy in analysis and reporting.
- Technical: Highly skilled in MS Excel and financial modeling tools.
