Colby Co. Engineering (Colby Co.) is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join their multi-disciplinary team of 70+ employees.
This position can be hybrid or fully remote for the right candidate located in New England.

Compensation and Benefits of the Job:
- Colby Co. is seeking a senior level engineer (10+ years of experience) and will offer a salary that is competitive and commensurate with the experience the candidate brings to the role.

Requirements of the Senior Structural Engineer:
- Bachelor’s degree in civil, structural, or architectural engineering.
- 10+ years of building design and analysis, preferably at a consulting engineering firm.
- Experience working on federal contract projects a plus.
- Experience creating a broad range of designs and analysis including reinforced concrete, structural steel, masonry, and wood framing systems.
- Successful track record of design, quality control and construction administration.
- Quick, flexible thinker and problem-solver who is accustomed to working in fluid teams on tight deadlines.
- Experience with RISA 3D and the RISA suite of structural analysis software or similar structural analysis software.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit a plus.
- PE License considered a plus, but not required.
- Ability to obtain government clearances.
Responsibilities of the Senior Structural Engineer:
- Research, plan and design a variety of buildings and non-building structures for government, industrial and commercial clients.
- Prepare code compliant plans and coordinate drawings for a broad range of designs utilizing reinforced concrete, structural steel, masonry, and wood framing systems.
- Work collaboratively on multidisciplinary design teams, primarily in-house but also with subconsultants.
- Collaborate with all disciplines to prepare presentations and produce documents from schematic design through to the construction phase.
- Opportunity to mentor Junior Engineers and Interns
- Conduct and document site visits, process submittals, substitution requests, and RFI’s.
