General Description:
The Digital Communications Specialist will participate in the development of and continued support of the strategic long-term goals, policies and procedures for the firm’s digital marketing content, video, and podcast organization.
Key Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions:
- Responsible for individual elements of the firm’s website content management systems, digital content, email marketing and social media efforts.
- Support digital communications team manager in implementation of various marketing projects.
- Responsible for independent interfacing with lawyers/professionals for bio changes and other website content updates.
- Fulfill requests to draft original content for, and review team members work related to, social media posts related to new hires, publications and firms events.
- Ensure firm standards are met in all aspects of social media posts, including by not limited to posts on LinkedIn, X, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube.
- Create regular website analytics reports and readership reports.
- Utilize the firm’s various digital marketing technologies to learn the necessary technical skills.
- Conduct regular quality control checks of website content management system information and proactively seek ways to improve workflow and data quality.
- Work with team manager to review and beta test new technologies and processes.
- Help maintain written documentation and training materials for marketing technology products and services.
- Communicate and enforce coding standards as well as firm’s writing and branding standards.
- Special project and duties as assigned.
Required Skills:
- Excellent organizational skills with outstanding attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize multiple requests, work independently and work under time pressure.
- Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
Required Qualifications & Education:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 2+ years of related, professional experience or equivalent marketing-related internship.
- Understand database design and usage
- Experience with HTML, video and multimedia production, social media copywriting.
Preferred Qualifications & Education:
- Experience with Lexis-Nexis InterAction, Sitecore CMS software and email marketing software preferred.
- Knowledge and experience with podcasting/blogging, streaming platforms and editing audio/video preferred.
- Adobe Creative Cloud, including Adobe Premiere Pro preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
- Moderate or advanced keyboard usage
