About the role
We are looking for a Pipeline Technical Artist/Technical Director to drive the development of our content pipelines and backends. At Applied Intuition, you will be responsible for a lot of the technical development inside Unreal and/or the pipelines associated with it. This position will join an existing team of talented engineers and technical artists with backgrounds in games, Visual FX, autonomous systems, and robotics.
At Applied Intuition, you will:
- Establish content pipelines and standards for others to follow
- Establish flexible modular pipelines that are maintainable long term
- Enforce good Python standards
- Work with both Simian and Unreal to connect features where needed
- Create tools for artists to work efficiently
We’re looking for someone who has:
- 3+ years of experience with Pipeline
- Experience as an expert user of at least one 3D DCC tool (e.g. Maya/Houdini)
- A solid understanding of Python and game/film pipelines
- Proven ability to work closely with engineers to create custom logic as required
Nice to have:
- Experience with Unreal or other real-time engines (e.g. Frostbite, Unity)
- Houdini experience
- C++, HLSL/GLSL experience
- Experience with Machine Learning
- Computer Science/Software Engineering background
Compensation at Applied Intuition for eligible roles includes base salary, equity, and benefits. Base salary is a single component of the total compensation package, which may also include equity in the form of options and/or restricted stock units, comprehensive health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance coverage, 401k retirement benefits with employer match, learning and wellness stipends, and paid time off. Note that benefits are subject to change and may vary based on jurisdiction of employment.
Applied Intuition pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum intended target base salary for new hire salaries for the position. The actual base salary offered to a successful candidate will additionally be influenced by a variety of factors including experience, credentials & certifications, educational attainment, skill level requirements, interview performance, and the level and scope of the position.
Please reference the job posting’s subtitle for where this position will be located. For pay transparency purposes, the base salary range for this full-time position in the location listed is: $86,000 - $185,000 USD annually.
