Job Description
Product Manager, PC Express, Backend Services.
The impact you’ll make:
Our product team is responsible for the customer facing experience of our web & mobile app for PC Express, our online grocery pickup & delivery business. As Product Manager, PCX Backend Services, you will own the backbone of our customer experience. You’ll partner with all product managers from PC Express to help them meet their goals, whether that’s helping them use new platform services, or building new services that help their features come to life. You’ll partner with our platform team (Helios) to improve our overall integration with their services, and drive the decommissioning of our legacy services. You’ll own our technical product roadmap for performance, integration and tech led improvements.
We are looking for a candidate who has experience in being a product manager for a technical product. You understand APIs, microservices, and love diving into integration projects. You are able to translate technical solutions to our business technical stakeholders to help bring their requests to life.
What you’ll do
- Manage roadmap & releases for your squad, coordinate with the different cross-functional teams from PCX and Helios to bring the backend services to life.
- Own coordination of requirements gathering from external parties with the support of the Back End Services Engineering Manager
- Manage intake from internal stakeholders and work closely with Helios (our platform team) to bring backend items to life.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product, operations, technology, design, marketing, research, and customer service, to ensure that we build lean and scalable features with clear intent and at high velocity
- Own the backlog including prioritization, grooming, writing user stories and generally keeping the development team unblocked and running efficiently

- You love working with cross functional teams to gather requirements, and bringing those projects to life in partnership with your engineering counterparts
- You easily build relationships with different teams to coordinate roadmap efforts.
- You have an entrepreneurial spirit and are willing to roll up your sleeves to get the job done
- You are comfortable communicating and presenting ideas to the leadership team, including balancing tradeoffs.
What you’ll need
- 2-3+ years of product management experience
- Solid understanding of agile software development
- Technical background or understanding to be able to support backend projects.
- Solid stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work independently and sift through ambiguity
- Strong attention to detail
