The Automated Equipment Electrical Assembly Team Leader position supports the construction of custom designed assembly and test equipment used specifically for Sensata products.

- Supervise a small team of Electrical Assemblers including managing HR requirements such as performance reviews.
- Coordinate the daily work of the electrical assembly team as they progress through panel layout, panel wiring, system integration wiring, power up, set up, and debug of the equipment.
- Coordinate with the Mechanical Team Leader to manage the overall assembly project.
- Serve as a liaison between the electrical engineering group and the shop.
- Participate in design reviews to provide input on new equipment designs including estimating labor effort required for build.
- Manage shop materials and resources needed for projects.
- Organize documentation required for projects and ensure that changes and corrections are fed back to engineering.
- Participate with team to troubleshoot equipment and designs.

- Trade school diploma or equivalent required.
- Associates degree is a plus.
- Journeymen Electrical License is a plus but is not required for this position.
- Relevant experience: 8-10 years working with the assembly, debug, and operation of automated production equipment.
- Strong interpersonal skills. Must be able to interface regularly with craftsmen, engineers, customers, suppliers, management, etc.
- Knowledge of high voltage (480V) and low voltage (analog) wiring practices is required.
- General knowledge of using troubleshooting equipment (meters, o-scope) is required.
- Strong diagnostic skills of electrical systems and controls. Use of troubleshooting equipment (meters, o-scope) is required. Ability to troubleshooting networks and I/O systems is also preferred.
- Proficient computer skills such as common office software, accessing CAD documents, backing up computers, archiving documentation, troubleshooting computer problems, and managing IT support as required.
- The ability to read electrical schematics or follow wire run lists is required.
- Knowledge of basic industrial electrical components, including but not limited to: Relays, Power supplies, Transformers, Circuit breakers is required.
- Knowledge of various machine control systems such as PLC or PC is a plus.
- Familiarity with other control instruments and electronics measurement instruments.
- Familiarity of mechanical systems commonly found in automation including pneumatics is desired.
- Ability to draw or modify schematics in CAD is a plus. Solidworks electrical experience is preferred.
- Safety is a primary concern, so must be diligent and cognizant of both mechanical and electrical hazards and practices. All required PPE is provided by the company.
- Basic knowledge of National Electric Code including wire ampacity, branch circuit protection, grounding, wiring color codes, etc. is required.
- Electronic soldering skills is a plus.
- Willing to work overtime as required.
