Requirements
  • Create, build, and cultivate customer and community relationships, including prospecting and establishing a strong clientele from existing and new customers.
  • Work toward individual and store-team goals in a team environment.

  • Be able to climb ladders, move around regularly, and stand for extended periods.
  • Be able to bend, reach, and stretch for products, and lift, carry, and move at least 40 pounds.
Responsibilities
  • Create and foster a culture of hospitality through exceptional customer experiences and build enduring internal and external relationships.
  • Support service enhancers, including active use of Concierge, to build strong relationships.
  • Achieve sales and service metrics in key measurable areas, including clienteling and outreach, appointment setting, and Talbots Classic Awards.
  • Plan and prioritize tasks and responsibilities to meet customer and business needs.
  • Seek to understand customer needs and wants through intentional conversation.
  • Share current products and fashion trends with customers to wardrobe, inspire, and build trust.
  • Participate in community and store activities and events that promote the Talbots brand.
  • Lead or supervise others on occasion and open or close the store for business.
  • Professionally represent the brand image.

Sarah Evans named chief human resources officer at KnitWell Group

KnitWell Group, a specialty retail apparel company with eight American brands, has appointed Sarah Evans as chief human resources officer. Evans will lead human resources across KnitWell's portfolio, which includes Ann Taylor, Chico's, Lane Bryant, LOFT and Talbots, whilst overseeing corporate communications, belonging and philanthropy. Evans brings extensive experience from large, multi-channel businesses. Most recently, she served as chief human resources officer at Ocean Spray, leading global human resources and corporate communications.
