- A baccalaureate degree in civil engineering from an accredited college.
- Support senior engineers in delivering timely and accurate Track Engineering assistance for MOW, Capital Construction, and Construction and Development Projects.
- Design special trackwork.
- Conduct field engineering surveys.
- Provide construction support.
- Review shop drawings.
- Evaluate first-article materials.
- Maintain and update Standard Track Drawings and Specifications for Track, Infrastructure, and Power Distribution Materials.
- Participate in derailment investigations and other track-related incidents.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite and internet and mobile applications, as well as MicroStation and nonconformity databases.
- Knowledge of structural inspection of concrete and steel.
- Ability to read and write technical drawings and correspondence.
- In-depth knowledge of construction design and code issues covering multiple city agencies.
