- A high school diploma or GED is required.
- Ability to control emotions and maintain composure under stress while using tact and good judgment.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal communication skills.

- Answer incoming calls for multiple radiology modalities.
- Verify patient information, insurance eligibility, and pre-certification information.
- Schedule CT, MRI, ultrasound, mammography, bone density, and fluoroscopy procedures using a Radiology Information System.
- Communicate pending pre-certification issues with technologists and radiology management.
- Explain patient preparation requirements and dispense preparation kits as needed.
- Task providers' offices when necessary.
- Complete reminder calls for future appointments.
- Ensure all outside images are obtained.
- Build workers' compensation cases in IDX when applicable.
- Manage image releases, including using PACS to burn CDs and DVDs for patient transport, and work with Release of Information to verify accurate documentation.
- Schedule interpreter services.
- Check in outpatients for radiology procedures.
- Comply with Springfield Clinic incident reporting policies and procedures.
- Complete required OSHA and Springfield Clinic training in accordance with policy.
- Provide customer service while adhering to Springfield Clinic's Code of Conduct and Ethics Standards.
- Perform other assigned job duties.
