Requirements
  • Previous experience in a medical front office, preferably in dermatology or a similar specialty.
  • Strong familiarity with electronic health record management and general office equipment, including fax machines, scanners, and multiline phone systems.
  • Verbal and written communication skills sufficient to handle sensitive patient information and billing inquiries professionally.
  • Ability to maintain high accuracy when entering demographic information, processing insurance, and handling financial transactions.
  • Ability to manage time effectively during high-volume periods and complete all office opening and closing tasks daily.
Responsibilities
  • Greet patients and verify demographic information, including primary care provider and emergency contacts.
  • Obtain and scan insurance cards and identification documents, and collect co-payments at the time of service.
  • Book patient appointments while verifying insurance coverage and ensuring referral requirements are met before visits.
  • Create encounters for the appropriate provider, collect cosmetic payments, and schedule follow-up appointments using provided slips.
  • Document and apply loyalty rewards, such as Aspire and Alle, for Botox and fillers.
  • Use electronic health record practice systems to manage the encounter queue and maintain accurate patient details.
