As part of the Player Gear System and Workflow team, you will help put new toys in our players’ hands. By working with your team, you will empower artists to make amazing new content at every release. This role stretches from working directly on the engine, to internal tools, to extending industry-standard software with custom functionality -- all aimed at bringing amazing content to life.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Guide a team of engineers and technical artists working on gear systems, helping translate team goals into actionable plans
- Collaborate with artists and designers to develop technical solutions that meet their needs
- Be a driver and advisor for technical decision-making in player rewards
- Build and maintain production-quality code using C# and C++
If Lead, in addition to the above responsibilities:
- Manage multiple engineers, providing support, technical mentorship, constructive feedback, and career development coaching
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Ability to lead engineers through planning, developing, and shipping
- Familiarity with creating efficient workflows
- Consensus building with fellow engineers to jointly design, write, and review code
- Ability to communicate with customers from different technical backgrounds to help them achieve their goals
- Ability to build and maintain production quality C# or C++ code
If Lead, in addition to the above skills:
- Experience leading engineering teams and driving team rituals
- Comfortable communicating with reports, customers, and superiors about difficult topics

Listed below are the two base pay ranges associated with this role at multiple levels. In other locations that Bungie has approved for remote work, this pay range may be adjusted up to +/- 10% and some roles may be classified as non-exempt (hourly).
This range is determined by an array of factors, including training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, and market demands. Additionally, it is subject to change and may be modified in the future.

Bellevue Pay Range I
$162,000—$191,000 USD
Bellevue Pay Range II
$200,000—$235,000 USD
Bungie full-time (non-contract) employees in the U.S. also receive:
- 20 days of accrued time-off in the form of PTO and sabbatical days, depending on the level of the position
- 10 paid Floating Days annually, prorated in the first year of employment based on start date
- 10 paid Bungie-observed holidays annually
- One hour of Paid Sick Time (PST) for every 30 hours worked
Contract and International FTE employees receive competitive benefits through their relevant contracting agency.
