Graduate Student Program Overview:
- 12-week summer internship program from May 2025 to August 2025 for advanced degree students in Master’s or PhD programs. This program will provide students a comprehensive and engaging experience from before your program starts to after the program ends.

Summary & Objectives
MKS Instruments is seeking an exceptional Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DE&I) Graduate Intern to join our team. In this role, you will support the development and execution of DE&I initiatives across MKS, working closely with various functional areas and a diverse, global workforce to promote a culture of equity, inclusion and belonging within the organization.
Principal Responsibilities
- Support DE&I Strategy Implementation: Assist in executing MKS’ global DE&I strategy, including the development and tracking of key metrics.
- Research and Analysis: Conduct research on DE&I best practices and emerging trends to inform strategy and initiatives.
- Program Development: Help design and implement DE&I programs, such as training, workshops, and employee resource group (ERG) activities.
- Communication: Collaborate with internal teams to create DE&I-related communications.
- Event Coordination: Assist in organizing DE&I events, including virtual and in-person workshops, panels, and awareness campaigns.
- Data Management: Collect and analyze data to evaluate the effectiveness of DE&I programs and initiatives.
In this role, you will report to the Sr. Manager of Global Diversity, Equity & Inclusion.
Skills You Bring:
- Enrolled in a Master’s or PhD Degree program for Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, Social Work, Sociology, Adult & Higher Education, or related fields, with an expected graduation date between December 2025 - May 2026.
- Experience: Demonstrated interest or experience in DE&I, with knowledge of DE&I principles, practices, and strategies.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and effectively.
- Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively in a global, multicultural environment.
- Research & Analysis: Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct and synthesize research.
- Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with strong organizational skills.
- Tech Savvy: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) with a strong ability and interest to learn new platforms.

- Curricula development experience
- Presentation and facilitation skills

Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position for 50% of the time.
- Must be able to communicate information and ideas so others will understand.
- Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery
- This job operates in a professional office environment with an average noise level.
- Up to 10% of travel is required.
Compensation and Benefits:
Hourly Pay Range: $25.00 to $35.00 per hour. This range is a good faith estimate of the expected salary range for this position, based on a wide range of factors including qualifications, experience and training, operational and business needs and other considerations permitted by law. At MKS, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for the role.
Benefits: MKS offers a benefits package for interns/co-ops working at least 20 hours per week, including 11 paid holidays, sick time, and 15 paid vacation days accrued on a biweekly basis.
