Requirements
- Excellent interpersonal written and verbal communication skills and a strong attention to detail
- Must be a team player willing to take on additional roles as needed
- Have a good attitude and willingness to learn
- Willing to take a background and drug test
- Required Knowledge: Metal Fabrication, Electrical Components, Assembly and Wiring
- 4 years of experience estimating, costing, customer service and sales preferred
- Experience in using Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software, Infor Visual or Acumatica experience a plus
- Solid computer literacy in MS Office and Google products
Responsibilities
- Review customer provided specifications, drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematics for completeness and accuracy
- Interface with Sales Manager and/or customer on any unknowns or additional information required for an accurate bid
- Generate written “Scope of Work” to be performed
- Determine the Bill of Materials and get current vendor pricing and availability
- Calculate estimated labor hours for fabrication, paint, assembly and wiring, including required engineering time
- Generate formal quotation and review proposal to determine markups with Sales Team
- Maintain proper documentation related to each RFQ in the appropriate electronic job files
- Review past projects, if applicable, for history of costing
- Attend Sales and other essential company meetings
- Adhere to policies and procedures including ISO requirements
- Special projects as assigned
