Requirements
  • Current South Carolina Certified Nursing Assistant certification.
  • Must possess at least a 10th-grade education.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to apply fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and interpret written, oral, diagram, or schedule-based instructions.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and perform the required standing, walking, reading, hearing, and communication activities.
Responsibilities
  • Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents.
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, dental and mouth care, and related personal-care needs.
  • Assist residents with safe transfers, ambulation, lifting, turning, moving, positioning, and transportation.
  • Take, measure, and record vital signs, weights, measurements, food and fluid intake, and other required resident-care documentation.
  • Report changes in resident condition, accidents, incidents, injuries, pressure areas, skin breakdowns, missing residents, complaints, grievances, and suspected abuse or unauthorized disclosures to the appropriate supervisor.
  • Use resident identification procedures before administering treatments or serving meals.
  • Maintain accurate records on flow sheets, notes, charts, and other documentation using authorized abbreviations.
  • Maintain confidentiality of resident care information and protected health information and report suspected unauthorized access or disclosure.
  • Prepare resident rooms, greet and orient residents, inventory and store personal possessions, and assist residents during transfers, discharges, and transportation.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, comfortable environment and ensure residents' personal-care needs are met, including prompt response to call lights.
  • Assist residents with meal-related needs, including identifying food arrangements, after-meal care, and maintaining clean, filled water pitchers.
  • Assist residents in preparing for medical tests, physical examinations, restorative procedures, rehabilitative procedures, and special treatments as instructed.
  • Participate in nursing reports and scheduled meetings with nursing personnel to identify and correct problem areas or improve services.
  • Follow facility policies and procedures, work assignments, schedules, infection-exposure protocols, and instructions from supervisors.
  • Use only equipment and nursing procedures for which trained, and report defective equipment.
  • Cooperate with facility and interdepartmental personnel to maintain nursing services.
  • Notify the facility of lateness or absence and report occupational exposures in accordance with facility policies.

PACS Group acquires Alaska care facility, plans 150-bed skilled nursing centre by 2028

PACS Group appoints Carey Hendrickson as chief financial officer

PACS Group has appointed Carey P. Hendrickson as chief financial officer, effective 27 April 2026. Hendrickson brings nearly four decades of financial leadership across healthcare, senior living and media sectors. Most recently, Hendrickson served as CFO of U.S. Physical Therapy, overseeing 779 outpatient clinics across 44 states. He previously held CFO roles at Capital Senior Living Corporation, managing 128 communities across 23 states, and Belo Corp. He succeeds Mark Hancock, PACS's co-founder and executive vice chairman, who will retire by 30 June 2026 whilst remaining on the board as vice chairman. PACS Group has announced that co-founder and chief financial officer Mark Hancock will retire on 30 June 2026. He will continue serving on the company's board of directors as vice chairman. Hancock co-founded PACS in 2013 with Jason Murray, starting with two post-acute care facilities in San Diego. Under his leadership, the company expanded to 323 facilities across 17 states, serving over 31,700 patients daily and generating $5.29 billion in revenue in 2025, representing 29.3% year-on-year growth. Hancock guided PACS through its successful initial public offering on the New York Stock Exchange in April 2024 and served as interim CFO from September 2025. He will be succeeded by Carey P. PACS Group appoints Optum CEO Dr Patrick Conway, former CMS deputy administrator, to board

PACS Group, a leading post-acute healthcare platform, has appointed Dr Patrick Conway to its board of directors. Dr Conway currently serves as CEO of Optum, UnitedHealth Group's health services division with revenues exceeding $200 billion. From 2011 to 2017, Dr Conway served as deputy administrator for innovation and quality at the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, where he also held roles as director of the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation and chief medical officer. During his tenure, he led the transformation of Medicare payment policy, increasing payments in alternative payment models from virtually zero to over 30% of total Medicare payments.
