Requirements

Responsibilities
  • Ensure guest safety and maintain the cleanliness and organization of supplies, equipment, and work areas.
  • Assist pool-facility guests with requests courteously and efficiently according to standards.
  • Maintain knowledge of and comply with departmental policies, service procedures, and standards.
  • Use equipment correctly and only as intended.
  • Anticipate guests' needs, respond promptly, and acknowledge all guests.
  • Maintain positive guest relations and resolve guest complaints.
  • Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned work areas.
  • Maintain knowledge of hotel occupancy, VIPs, arrivals and departures, scheduled group activities, hotel facilities and services, outlet hours, guest equipment and services, and pool safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Obtain, fold, stack, distribute, and retrieve towels, and return dirty towels to the back-of-house area.
  • Open, set up, organize, and close the pool deck, including breaking down cabanas, displaying the pool-closed sign, turning off the slide, returning equipment and supplies, restocking items, and securing storage areas.
  • Check supply and equipment levels and report shortages to the manager on duty.
  • Clean and prepare the slide area and remove trash and debris from work areas and the pool facility.
  • Display lotions and other complimentary guest items.
  • Set up the beverage station with specified beverages and supplies.
  • Check pool restrooms, showers, and back-of-house areas for supply levels, cleanliness, and working order; rectify deficiencies and clean sections.
  • Greet and acknowledge guests.
  • Monitor guest activity, remain alert to signs of trouble, enforce pool rules and safety precautions, and report unauthorized persons to the manager on duty.
  • Use first-aid and lifesaving procedures when required.
  • Perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation for guests during emergencies.
  • Assist with activity offerings as needed.
  • Follow the maintenance program and cleaning schedule.
